Educated but still jobless and unemployed? I will tell you why, even if you are from South Carolina! ;-)!
75I will tell you sad history
It was in 20’ last century. United States of America were invaded by one of so called financial crisis. This situation is remittent once on 48,5 year. People’s wallets are crying for help. Fortunes are falling into dark shadow of despair. They were black days under the sign of massive suicides.
In this sad times, there is origin of a black joke about man who go to the hotel and ask for a room. Receptionists used to ask: On which floor You want to book it?
It was the end of “Buy market shares and keep it as long as you can” times.
Dramatic face of this situation is blowed by one paradox: there were people who got rich on it.
Why?
Because people, who won with market in 20’, used to have information and knowledge, which let them make progress and prosperity.
Power of GOOD education
I would like to emphasize importance of knowledge and regular studying it. In my opinion, everybody needs to studying his branch all a life – like a medical doctor. I want to mark that I’m not thinking about “studying” like in a school or an university.
Education System isn’t well projected. In most countries of the world, schools and universities are teaching few practice and important things (like mathematic) and massive part of completely unreal and unpracticed rubbish-knowledge.
Let me put it this way: in my opinion junk-education is plague of our times. Schools takes a dozen or so years of our life – but it gives nothing in exchange. Work Market is flooded by unprepared and low-skilled persons who are getting painfully reality hit.
I want to quote someone: People who are STUDYING practice knowledge of their business, are getting knowledge required to prosperity in our reality. People who STUDIED are perfect prepared for living in reality which passed some time ago.
Where we can search for useful education ?
In book stores and libraries. bookstores are full of really useful books concerned self-evolution, investments and establishing business. Why this themes is so important for me? Because employer from the “work” part is doomed for bloody losing with work market. This situation is clearly seem in the Eastern-European sector; there where I was born. Supply on the job market is so giant in the face of demand. In this case, there is no hope for big earnings and so called “social services”.
Ooooooh...I just must comment those sentence about “services”. Listen to me, everybody! We live in Free Market System, in Capitalism, there is no such think like advanced “social services”. One half of people will not see own retirement cash, why you are looking for additional social services? You must care about your elderness now. And alone.
Conclusion is shining like...shining star. We can clearly see it and we shall se it. Specially if we are serious thinking about our financial future. Regular reading of book isn’t hard to do and it gives us very important wisdom-boost.
I will show you an example which can be good image of good financial education. I read book concerning risk on the capital market. It cost 80 polish zlotys (something about 30 $). Thanks to this book, I’m better capital-manager and my investment mistakes are rare thing. My ROI and ROCE is bigger. Costs of book (30$) was investment which is returned and gives profit.
Nice. It is something like getting free book and earning money on it.
I can present another example. I’m customer and cooperator of one Education Company. Company is specialized in financial education and investment courses. One course cost something about 100 $ ( I know that 100 $ is not much, but in Eastern Europe this is big cash). Is this course worth 100$ ? Of course it is ;-)
Few interesting offers
It is very good idea to getting interested in courses and books by Brian Tracy. I can tell that he is one of main mentor, which I got favor to listen. Knowledge he spread has self-evolution character and this is very important in my opinion.
We can see that market gives us giant education possibility like books and courses. Offered knowledge is good investment which returns during few weeks and bring clear profit.
Somebody can tell that he cannot afford courses, but he has still possibility to buy cheaper books or read it on the library. By the way, if you think that wisdom is expensive, check the prize of ignorance.
Practice Exercise: set a goal of invest in education as soon as it is possible. I can offer to you presented books:
"Rich Dad, Poor Dad" - Robert Kiyosaki
"Maximum Achievement: Strategies and Skills That Will Unlock Your Hidden Powers to Succeed" - Brian Tracy
"Multiple Streams of Income" - Robert Allen
"How to Stop Worrying and Start Living" - Dale Carnegie

I think education is very important. You have to gain a lot of knowledge when you study. But remember that being an entrepreneur is more important after you get that knowledge instead of just employee. :)
Good hub. You are so right. Education is one of the very important aspects of life.
Hi froch-may I ask (my ignorance but curiousity) where is Tychy? Oh, I forgot I can GOOGLE it, LOL I can google anything!
Interesting and important hub. Oh the wonderful debate: education vs. experience and entrepenuership. I've done both. It helps to have a little of both and trust me, as you well know, if you are not a risk taker than having your own business would never work.
Rated ineresting and useful. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your info, froch. Happy writing to you.
Froch, I like the points you make about education and having practical knowledge that would serve you well in life. By the way, I love the quote you used, "if you think that wisdom is expensive, check the price of ignorance." It sums up your hub nicely and is a very valuable piece of advice for all of us.
Hi Froch:-)
Interesting Hub! I have thought many times while being at school why I needed to learn stuff that didn't interest me at all.
But learning how to socialize, finding out if you're strong or not in a group full of different people, has been a very interesting journey. I was lousy at it.
And I agree with Denise. I'm not a risk taker concerning investments I could make, since I've learned for over more than a decade now, to live to the fullest with a small pension.
When I retire there will be enough money left to live from for at least..a year! I care about my elderness but I'm not going to worry about things that I can't really change.
Guess I should find myself a rich guy:-) Something I learned as well. Not to take life too serious and at least joke about your short comings. Voted you up!
@ Froch
LOL....I found myself the sweetest guy, he's not rich, has a normal job and I love him as much as he loves me. Money is relative. Love is everything!
Highschool lovers? So romantic!
